NeuroLab® Receives CAP Certificate of Participation for Cortisol Proficiency Testing Program

Share

NeuroLab® has received the certificate of participation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for the Cortisol PT program at its clinical laboratory facility in Asheville, North Carolina. Proficiency Testing (PT) is an important tool the laboratory uses to verify the accuracy and reliability of its testing. NeuroLab® uses CAP to meet regulatory requirements regarding 3rd party proficiency testing for cortisol, and to verify the accuracy and reproducibility of our cortisol test.

CAP is the leading organization of board-certified pathologists, servings patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide.

A partnership with CAP helps us to reach our quality improvement goals and higher standards of care for patients, meet regulatory requirements, and manage our laboratory more efficiently. We have never failed a cortisol challenge since enrolling with CAP in 2013!

NeuroLab® was launched by Sanesco International in December 2004 to offer testing of physician-ordered urinary testing of the six major neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and epinephrine, norepinephrine, and glutamate), and four-point saliva testing for the adrenal hormones (cortisol and DHEA-s).

NeuroLab’s high standards of quality have already led to COLA certification, and are a clear sign of our dedication to what matters most—accuracy in the laboratory which, in turn, leads to improved HPA-T Axis function for patients.
